I:Scintilla

I: Scintilla is an American rock band that was founded in 2003.

History

The group was founded in 2003 in Chicago, Illinois. Already emerged immediately after its inception, without prior demos first songs that were already on their 2004 album The first approach, which was initially sold in the self-distribution published.

After a high live presence of the awareness of the band grew, they signed a record deal with the Belgian label Alfa Matrix, under the then in 2006 the first EP was released. This panel brought favorable reviews a part of the trade press and sold well. So this was also for four weeks in the German Alternative Charts (DAC).

As a breakthrough of I: Scintilla, however, is their second album, Optics, published in 2007, considered. This spent seven weeks in the DAC and helped the group to popularity in Europe, where it is heard, especially by members of the black scene. The sound of this album is considered to be further developed and offers the familiar elements of rock and more electronic sounds than the previous disc.

2009 appeared the EP Prey on You, in the spring of 2010, the third album of the band, under the title Dying & Falling '.
