Isidro Nozal

Isidro Nozal Vega (born 18 October 1977 in Barakaldo ) is a Spanish cyclist.

Isidro Nozal began his professional career in 1999 at the Spanish cycling team ONCE Manolo Saiz. In 2002 he won a stage at the Clasica Alcobendas and then took first in the Tour de France in part. A year later, he surprised at the Vuelta a España with two stage wins. A summary score he led for a long time, until the penultimate day. There overtook him Roberto Heras after a mountain time trial and Nozal had to be content with second place. Since 2004 Nozal moves while still on the same team, but the sponsor is now Liberty Seguros. Before the start of the Dauphiné Libéré 2005, a hematocrit of about 50 was measured, and he had to pause for two weeks. In 2006, he was then involved in the doping scandal Fuentes. In September 2009, he has been locked because EPO doping by the UCI.
