Islamic Association of China

The Chinese Islamic Association (中国 伊斯兰教 协会Chinese, Pinyin Zhōngguó Yīsīlánjiào xiéhuì; . Engl Islamic Association of China ) is a national religious organization in China. It has been previously established in 1953 after a preparatory meeting for a year in the Chinese capital Beijing, where it is situated today. Burhan Shahidi, Da Pusheng, Ma Jian, Liu Geping, Sai Futing and Shiqian Pan and Zhang Jie calling for the establishment meeting. It claims to be the representative of all Muslims in China. Its current chairman is Chen Guangyuan, Vice Chairman was among other Aronhan'aji. Its headquarters is located near the oldest mosque in Beijing, the mosque in the cattle alley.

At the inaugural meeting on May 11, 1953 in Beijing, representatives from ten nationalities of the People's Republic of China ( Hui, the Uyghur, Tatar, Kirgiz, Kazakh, Uzbek, Tajik, Dongxiang, Salar and Bao'an ) present. The tasks and objectives include: the support of the People's Government in the implementation of the policy of religious freedom; continue the tradition of Islam; the love of the fatherland; to unite the Muslims to participate in socialist construction of the motherland, to maintain world peace; friendly relationship with Muslims in other countries to develop, safeguarding world peace, etc. Managing Board is the national Congress.
