Islas Airways

Islas Airways ( Islas Lineas Aéreas actually ) was a Spanish regional airline based in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and based on the Tenerife North Airport. They ran between the Canary Islands. In October 2012 Islas Airways ceased its operations.

History

Islas Airways was founded in 2001 and started in February 2003 to operate flights between the Canary Islands. In early 2007, the two Canarian company Sociedad Agrupadas de Canarias and Naviera Armas announced the purchase of 50 percent of the shares of Islas Airways.

On October 16, 2012, the Company introduced a line operation, charter flights were not initially affected. End of November 2012 were up to 25 employees, all released, she had previously been a few months to get paid no wages and salaries.

Destinations

Islas Airways had offered flights between Tenerife, La Palma, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, El Hierro and Gran Canaria.
