Ismail Gulgee
Amin Ismail Gulgee ( born October 25, 1926 in Peshawar, † December 16, 2007 in Karachi ) was an internationally renowned Pakistani artists in Peshawar.
Gulgee was famous for his abstract painting and for his portraits. He was artistically influenced by traditional Islamic calligraphy and action painting american art direction, with his calligraphic paintings can be understood as expressive interpretations of Arabic characters.
On 18 December 2007 Gulgee was found with his wife and a maid murdered in his home.
