ISO 3166-2:CR

The list of ISO -3166 -2 codes for Costa Rica contains the codes for the Costa Rican provinces.

The codes are composed of two parts which are separated by a hyphen. The first part is the country code again according to ISO 3166-1 ( for Costa Rica CR), the second is the code for the province. The current country code has not been updated since the publication in 1998.

These codes exist for the provinces of one letter in the Spanish alphabet for Costa Rica. For the two capital letters are used.
