ISO 3166-2:IS

The list of ISO -3166 -2 codes for Iceland contains the codes for the eight regions of Iceland ( landsvæði ).

The codes are composed of two parts which are separated by a hyphen. The first part is the country code according to ISO 3166-1 ( for Iceland IS), the second is the code for the region again. The current country code has not been updated since the publication in 1998.
