ISO 3166-2:MU
The list of ISO -3166 -2 codes for Mauritius contains the codes for the five cities, three missing person Islands and the 9 districts.
The codes are composed of two parts which are separated by a hyphen. The first part is the country code according to ISO 3166-1 ( for Mauritius MU ), the second the code for the city, the dependent island or district again. The current country code in the fourth newsletter of 10 December 2002 (PDF) last updated.
The change in the fourth Newsletter of the District of Port Louis and the city of Port Louis were separated and given different codes (MU - MU- PL and PU).
