ISO/IEC 18000

ISO / IEC 18000 is an ISO standard which determines for different frequency bands, the specifications for the so-called air interface.

The telegram contents and details of the various RFID technologies for education and for special application are specified in other standards. In particular, the use of RFID tags for electronic identity cards will be dealt with in other ISO standards.

ISO / IEC 18000 consists of the following parts under the general title Information technology - Radio frequency identification (RFID ) for item management (all standard parts are only available in English ):

The various parts of ISO / IEC 18000 describe air interfaces for the different frequency bands to the frequency- dependent physical behaviors in accordance to be able to make the best use with other uses in these frequency bands.

Conformance test methods for ISO / IEC 18000 in ISO / IEC 18047, performance test methods in ISO / IEC 18046 defines.

The active NFC tags with the ISM frequency of 13.56 MHz are covered under the ISO / IEC 13157, -16 353, -22 536, -28 361.

Data security in the use of RFID tags will be qualified according to the Common Criteria for Information Technology Security Evaluation (ISO / IEC 15408 ).

The RFID emblem is defined in ISO / IEC 29160.
