Isolée

Isolée is a pseudonym of the German musician Rajko Müller. He is considered one of the pioneers of Micro House.

Life and musical career

Rajko Müller was born in Frankfurt am Main, but lived at the age of seven to twelve with his family in Algeria, where he attended a French primary school. At this time, Müller got a keyboard from his parents for Christmas, where he began to make synthpop music with a school friend. Then they decided to purchase a synthesizer and a drum machine.

End of the 1980s, from synthpop and electronic body music Müller moved away to attend to the rock and Independent genre. Mueller's Friends woke in the early 1990s, his interest in house, hip - hop and techno, which finally persuaded to receive electronic music again. He gave his friend and DJ Andreas Baumecker, owner of the label girlfriends records, who worked in a record store together with employees of the label Playhouse Records, a demo mixtape.

Then Muller's first works were published under the name Isolée on the music label Playhouse in 1996. A larger audience, he was known in 1998 with his single Beau Mot Plage. His first album was released in 2000, also rest on Playhouse. His 2005 released album We Are Monster was listed at Metacritic as the third best album of the year.
