Israel HaYom

Israel Hayom (Hebrew: ישראל היום, dt "Israel Today ") is an Israeli newspaper distributed free of charge according to the model of USA Today. It was first released on 30 July 2007 and developed within three years of the most widely read newspaper in the country, reaching approximately 35 % of the Israeli population. Founder, owner and financier of the newspaper is the American entrepreneur and billionaire Sheldon Adelson, the well-known Israeli journalist hiring away like Amos Regev for his project from other newspapers.

Politically close to the sheet conservative parties like the Likud.
