Israel Vibration

Israel Vibration is a reggae band.

The trio had a decisive effect with its harmony and singing stressed roots reggae music. As so often with Jamaican musicians, is also the story of Cecil " Skelly " Spence, Lascelle " Wiss " Bulgin and Albert " Apple " Craig rather sadder nature. Even in his early childhood ill all three polio ( infantile paralysis ). Due to the difficult financial situation of their families, they were taken to Kingston from "Mona Rehabilitation Center " where they first met.

Although polio in only one percent of all cases leads to paralysis, hit it, so they have all three to still suffer a disability. The greatest consolation in this case is the belief in God for them. All three members of Israel Vibration are devout Rastafarians, which is particularly evident in their lyrics. Their faith, coupled with the rasta typical exterior meant that the trio had to leave the "Mona Rehabilitation Center".

Their first album, " Same Song " was released in 1976 and was nearly 100,000 copies sold. A year later, Israel Vibration was a member of the "Twelve Tribes of Israel." In 1983, the group split up initially to start in the U.S., with better medical care, solo careers. 1988, however it was conducted by Dr. Dread, founder of " RAS Records " together again, as each of the three independently asked him to record a solo album. This continues to today second creative period of the trio appeared including " Strength Of My Life ," " Live Again " and "Jericho".

Their album Reggae Knights was nominated in 2012 in the category Best Reggae Album at the Grammy Awards.

Trivia

In the song Love makes a good man, the German town of Tübingen is mentioned. The song includes the lines: " Ziggy Membratu I'm so in love with you / in Tübingen in Germany".

Israel Vibration song Soldiers of Jah Army bears the same name as the reggae band SOJA ( Soldiers of Jah Army ).
