Istanbul Biennial

The Istanbul Biennial (English: " International Istanbul Biennial ") is a 1987 bi -annual Istanbul Biennial. It is organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts.

The 10th Istanbul Biennial was held from September 8 to November 4, 2007; on the exhibited artists included, among other noble Abdessemed, Kutluğ Ataman, Atom Egoyan, Rem Koolhaas and Ken Lum. Was curator Hou Hanru.

The 11th Istanbul Biennial was held in the fall of 2009 and curated by the curator team What, How & for Whom ( WHW ) from Zagreb. It was entitled: What Keeps Mankind Alive, the English translation of the song What man lives? from The Threepenny Opera by Bertolt Brecht. The 12th Istanbul Biennial was held with the title Untitled in autumn 2011.
