The Þistilfjörður ( lit. "Thistle fjord " ) is a fjord in northern Iceland. However, it is more of a large bay than a typical fjord.

This extends namely about 50 kilometers between the Langanes Peninsula to the east and the Melrakkaslétta peninsula in the west, but only extends 30 kilometers into the country. The major towns in the Þistilfjörður are Þórshöfn and Raufarhöfn. They can be contacted on the Norðausturvegur, road 85.
