Istituto tecnico economico

The technical school in the technological field, also Technical High School ( TFO ), formerly called Gewerbeoberschule ( GOB ), is a technically -oriented secondary school in Italy. The German names are common in South Tyrol.

Education system

The Gewerbeoberschule runs from 9th to 13th school year and is divided into two sections. The first two years ( biennium ) are occupied in common by all students from 3rd grade ( triennium ), a specialization through the choice of subject.

The Gewerbeoberschule concludes with the state -administered examination (Matura). The State audit entitled to study at all universities, but also allows direct entry into the work world. After an internship and a state exam, graduates of Gewerbeoberschule can edit the title Perito Industriale bear (comparable to the Austrian engineer for graduates of the HTL).

Biennium

History

The first commercial high school was the ITIS " G. & M. Montani " in Fermo (FM), which was founded in 1854 by Count Girolamo Montani.

The first German -language Commercial High School was the Gewerbeoberschule "Max Valier " in Bolzano, founded in 1963.

From the school year 2011/12 the commercial high schools are converted to the Technical High School called school form in the course of italy wide high school reform.
