István Bárczy

István Bárczy ( born October 3, 1866 in Pest, † June 1, 1943 in Budapest) was a Hungarian politician and lawyer.

Following the elections in 1906, he was elected on June 19, the Budapest mayor and had the office until 1918. Under his leadership, a program was designed for urban development and built schools, trams, houses and other social and cultural institutions. In the most affected by the First World War Hungary, he was also briefly as prime minister in an interview. From November 24th 1919 to March 15, 1920, he was Minister of Justice of Hungary. 1920 to 1931 he was a first for the National Democratic Party, then for various liberal organizations member of the Hungarian parliament.
