Istvan Horkay

István Horkay ( born December 25, 1945 in Budapest) is a Hungarian artist.

Biography

After 1964 graduated at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest, Horkay was invited to attend the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, Poland, the most important artistic and cultural center of Eastern Europe, where he received his " Master of Fine Arts" ( MFA ) received. He continued his studies at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, Denmark, (1968 ) and completed a graduate program at the Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest ( 1971). Horkay studied with the internationally known artist and theater director Tadeusz Kantor as well as in M. Wejman, J. Nowosielski and Palle Nielsen, Denmark. He holds degrees in graphic arts, painting and film animation.
