István Molnár

István Molnár ( born January 5, 1913 in Galanta, Hungary ( now Slovakia ), † July 1, 1983 in Budapest) was a Hungarian water polo player at Ferencvaros Budapest ( from 1932) and Vasas Budapest ( since 1945 ).

Molnár participated in the 1936 Olympics in Berlin, where he was in the group match against Malta, which was won 12-0, used, but no goal threw. Hungary still qualified for the final round, in which Molnár was not used. After a 5-0 win against France, handed a 2-2 draw, so the Hungarian National Team, including his team-mates Bródy György Kálmán Hazai, Olivér Halassy, Márton Homonnay, Jenő Brandi, János Németh Mihály Bozsi, György Kutasi, Sándor Taric's and Miklós Sárkány, won the gold medal.
