István SzÃvós, Jr.
István Szívós ( born April 24, 1948 in Budapest ) is a former Hungarian water polo player.
He was with the Hungarian water polo team in 1976 Olympic champion. In 1972 he won silver in 1968 and bronze in 1980 respectively. In 1973 he was World Champion, 1974 and 1977 European champion. In total he played 308 international matches for Hungary. István Szívós won nine Hungarian championships and was with OSC Budapest twice European champions. In 1996 he was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the international swimming sport. István Szívós has been working as a dentist in Budapest. His father István in 1952 and 1956 Olympic champion in water polo, his son was Márton 2005 and 2007 Vice World Champion.
