Isumi, Chiba

Isumi (Japaneseいすみ 市, -shi) is a city of Chiba Prefecture in the east of Honshu, the main island of Japan.

Geography

The city is located east of Tokyo on the peninsula on the Pacific Boso.

History

The city of Isumi was on 5 December 2005 from the merger of the municipalities Isumi (夷 隅 町, machi ), Misaki (岬 町, machi ) and Ohara (大 原 町, machi ) in the district of Isumi.
