Ituzaingó, Corrientes
Ituzaingó is the capital of the department of Ituzaingó in Corrientes province in northeast Argentina. In the classification of municipalities in the province of Corrientes Berón de Astrada belongs to the second category.
History
The place name comes from the language of the Guarani. In this case, it is to commemorate the battle of Ituzaingó from February 20, 1827 in Brazil today, in the faced each other Argentine, Brazilian and Uruguayan troops.
Tourism
Ituzaingó is one of the major beach resorts of the province of Corrientes. In recent years, it attracts more and more tourists from Posadas to the beaches of the resort.
