Iva Janžurová

Iva Janžurová ( born May 19, 1941 in Žirovnice, South Bohemia ) is a Czech actress.

Life

Iva Janžurová studied from 1959 to 1963 at the Theater Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. In the years 1963 and 1964 she appeared in the FX Salda Theatre, then in Liberec on ​​before they took a long-term commitment to the Prague stage " Vinohrady ". In 1988, she moved from here at the National Theatre. In the film Janžurová made ​​her first appearance in the 1960s. The breakthrough as a film actress she succeeded in 1966 with Karel Kachyňas " car to Vienna " ( Czech Kocar do Vídně ). As a member of the acting ensemble of the Czechoslovak and later Czech TV she appeared in numerous series, some of which were shown (especially in the 1980s ) also on German TV ( as The hospital on the outskirts of the city and the children's series The Tales Bride and The Flying Ferdinand ).

Janžurovás longtime significant other was the actor and director Stanislav Remunda (1927-2012), with whom she had two daughters.
