Iván Bächer

Iván Bächer ( born March 25, 1957 in Budapest, † December 2, 2013 ) was a Hungarian writer and journalist.

Brooks wrote a critic for the Hungarian daily Népszabadság. He published several volumes of short stories and novellas. One of his stories was the inspiration for the television opera Bekerítve by István Láng, which was filmed in 1990, directed by György Molnár.

Appeared in German translation of Tibor Shepherd is Bächers Rötúr novel under the title Retour ( Shepherd Verlag, Herne, 2011).
