Ivan Ivanov Kamenow ( Bulgarian Иван Каменов Иванов, English transcription Ivan Kamenov Ivanov, born February 25, 1988 in Zlatitsa ) is a Bulgarian football player who is under contract with FC Basel since August 2013. He is a skilled left-back, but plays as a central defender.

Career

Association

Ivanov began his career at PFC Pirin Blagoevgrad, before moving to CSKA Sofia Bulgarian first division in 2005. On 24 May 2006 he won the Bulgarian Football Cup with a 3-1 win against Cherno More Varna and Bulgarian Supercup against Levski Sofia in the penalty shootout. In the 2007 /08 season he was loaned to Locomotive Plovdiv.

Again at CSKA he was first-team regular and he shot September 19, 2008 his first goal in the game against Minjor Pernik, which was won 2-0. 27 August 2009 scored his first international goal, which was also the winning goal to make it 2-1 against FK Dynamo Moscow in the play-offs for the Europa League 2009/10 CSKA and thus moved into the group stage. On November 1, 2009, he was together with eight other players, due to undisciplined behavior, suspended. On November 20, he ran back to the game against Lokomotiv Sofia.

On February 25, 2010 Ivanov signed a four year contract with the Russian first division club Alania Vladikavkaz.

On June 17, 2011, he joined the Serbian first division club Partizan Belgrade. He had on 13 July in a 4-0 home win against the Macedonian club FK Škendija 79 in the second qualifying round of the Champions League debut.

In August 2013, the FC Basel announced the commitment of Linksfüßers Ivanov. When reigning Swiss champion he replaced with the shirt number 13 for the Dynamo Kiev Aleksandar Dragovic migrated. He received a three-year contract with an option for another year. His first competitive game for his new club, he completed on August 17, 2013 Swiss Cup against local rivals BSC Old Boys Basel where he succeeded in the extension of the single most important goal of the match.

National

His debut for the Bulgarian national football team he was on 20 August 2008 in a 2-1 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina, when he came on in the 67th minute. He scored his first goal on 6 September 2011 in the 1-3 defeat against Switzerland in qualifying for Euro 2012
