Ivan Lenđer

Ivan Lenđer ( Serbian Cyrillic Иван Ленђер, born July 29, 1990 in Zrenjanin, Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian swimmer.

Career

Lenđer, is considered one of the greatest young talents in Serbia. At 15, he won gold in the 100 meter butterfly at the Youth World Swimming Championships 2006 in Rio de Janeiro.

Also in the European Youth Championships in the following year he won gold in the 100 meter butterfly and Sibler over 50 meters butterfly.

One of his greatest successes in his career, is taking part in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. He resigned, however, in the 100 meters butterfly to lead and finally took the 40th position. In the same year he was over 50 meters and 100 meters butterfly will each win the title at the European Youth Championships in Belgrade. At the World Junior Championships 2008 in Monterrey, he came runner- up on these distances.

But his international breakthrough came in 2009 when he won the title in the 100 meters and the silver medal in the 50 meters butterfly on the one hand at the Mediterranean Games in Pescara. The Short Course European Championships 2009 in Istanbul, he won the bronze medal.

2010 Lenđer took part in the European Swimming Championships in Budapest, and reached the final of the 50m butterfly where he finished finally in eighth place. About 100 meters butterfly, he left as tenth in the semifinals.
