Ivan Ozhogin

Ivan Ozhogin (Russian: Иван Геннадьевич Ожогин, Ivan Gennadjewitsch Oschogin; born September 1, 1978 in Ulyanovsk ) is a Russian opera and musical performer. In Germany he became famous for the role of the Count of Krolock in the musical Tanz der Vampire.

Biography

Ivan Ozhogin received since its 3 years vocal training, attended a state school of music and learned to play various musical instruments.

In 2002, he completed his training as a musical performer at the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts in Moscow and became immediately for main and supporting roles in the Russian productions of musicals Chicago, Cats and Beauty and the Beast, as well as in the Russian musicals The wedding of Jay North East and The Black bridle of a white mare involved.

In addition to his experience as a musical actor Ivan Ozhogin has a broad classical repertoire as an opera singer. It occurs at the Moscow Helikon Opera, takes part regularly in recitals, in which he sings Russian folk and love songs, and works with the leading Russian orchestras.

Since 2007 he has been a soloist in the choir of St. Nicholas Monastery on the Ugrescha and was with the choir Bolshoi Don Cossacks in Russia and Europe on tour.

2011 Ivan managed Ozhogin his breakthrough as a musical singer with the role of the Count of Krolock in the Russian production of the musical Dance of the Vampires. The Russian premiere of the musical took place on 3 September 2011 at the theater for musical comedy in St. Petersburg.

2013 took over the role of Count Ivan Ozhogin of Krolock in the Berlin production of Dance of the Vampires and thus became the successor of Thomas Borchert.

On February 8, 2013 Ivan Ozhogin celebrated its German -language premiere at the theater of the West in Berlin. He played up to Derniere of the musical in Germany, becoming the last Count of Krolock on the German stage. Ivan Ozhogin is the first musical performer who played the same role in parallel in two different languages ​​in two different countries. He is also the first Russian musical performer, who was hired for the lead role in a German musical.

Ivan Ozhogin takes part in the new 3D musical about the Stummfilmschauspierin Pola Negri, which will be performed in December in St. Petersburg.
