Ivan Rabuzin

Ivan Rabuzin ( born March 27, 1921 in Ključ, Varaždin County, † December 18, 2008 in Varaždin ) was a Croatian naive painter.

Rabuzin was born the son of a miner, the sixth child of eleven siblings in the village Kljuc in Novi Marof. After attending elementary school Rabuzin worked in agriculture and trained as a carpenter. From 1945 to 1947, he attended trade school in Zagreb. He began working as an artist until the 1950s.

From about 1959 Rabuzin was a freelance painter, in 1963 he had his first solo exhibition at Galerie Mona Lisa in Paris. This was followed by hundreds of singles and countless group exhibitions. Pictures of him hang in many galleries and museums. In the 1970s, he worked with the Finnish designer Timo Sarpaneva in the Studio line of Rosenthal in the design of the harness Suomi together.
