Iván Rodríguez

Iván Rodríguez Torres, nicknamed Pudge, ( born November 30, 1971 in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico) is a baseball player in Major League Baseball. In his career, Rodríguez 12 Golden Glove Awards, seven Silver Slugger Awards as well as 3 Player of the Month Awards received and once was Most Valuable Player.

Career

On June 20, 1991 with his major-league debut with the Texas Rangers he became the youngest Major League catcher ever. When the Texas Rangers he played from 1991 to 2002 at this time., He developed into one of the best catchers the Major Leagues .. In the 1999 season he was voted MVP of the regular season after he hit 35 home runs, 113 RBIs had, 25 Bases steel, a batting average of .332 and had 41 Base Runner threw out as a catcher. When the contract expired at Rangers, he moved in 2003 to the Florida Marlins with whom he won the World Series.
