IVL Haukka
The IVL Haukka was a fighter aircraft of the Finnish manufacturer Ilmailuvoimien Lentokonetehdas.
History and construction
The Haukka was designed by Kurt Berger as a biplane with an open cockpit and a fixed tailwheel. It was powered by a Gnome -Rhone Jupiter IV radial engine. Referred to as Haukka I first aircraft made its maiden flight on 17 March 1927. Later Haukka followed II, an enhanced version, which was used by the Finnish Air Force some time to purchase foreign aircraft.
