Ivy Dumont

Dame Ivy Leona Dumont DCMG ( born October 2, 1930 in Roses, Long Iceland ) was Governor General of the Bahamas. She took over on 1 January 2002 (acting on 13 November 2001 ) was the first woman this office and it held until 30 November 2005.

Previously, she was temporarily a member of the meeting house ( House of Assembly ) and Minister of Education and Youth, Sports and Culture.
