Ixtlahuaca is a municipality in the Mexican state of México. Cabecera of Municipalities is Ixtlahuaca de Rayón. The municipality had in the year 2010 141.482 inhabitants, its area is 337.2 km ².

Geography

Ixtlahuaca is in the northwest of the State of Mexico, 35 km north- west of Toluca de Lerdo. A major part of the Municipalities is used for agriculture.

The municipality borders the Municipalities Ixtlahuaca San Felipe del Progreso, Jocotitlan, Jiquipilco, Temoaya and Almoloya de Juárez.

The municipality includes 63 locations, of which six have more than 5,000 and a further 24 more than 1,500 inhabitants. Largest place of Municipalities is San Bartolo del Llano, in San Pedro los Baños, Santo Domingo de Guzmán, Emiliano Zapata, La Concepcion de los Baños and Ixtlahuaca Rayón.
