Izi Castro Marques

Iziane Castro Marques ( born March 13, 1982 in São Luís, Brazil) is a professional basketball player. She currently plays for the Atlanta Dream in the Women's National Basketball Association as shooting guard.

Career

Castro Marques was never selected in a WNBA Draft, but was taken in 2002 as a free agent by the Miami Sol under contract. In the 2003 season, she played one season for the Phoenix Mercury. From 2005 to 2007 she played for the Seattle Storm. In the 2005 season it was the first time in a starting lineup of a WNBA team. Rate this place but she had to leave to Barbara Turner at the beginning of the 2006 season, but fought his way to this place with strong performances back and stood on the ninth game back in the starting lineup of the Storm. On 6 February 2008, the Seattle Storm Iziane Castro Marques and their first-round pick transferred ( total 8 pick ) to the Atlanta Dream for Roneeka Hodges and their first-round pick ( fourth overall pick ). Thus, it plays from the 2008 season for the Atlanta Dream.
