J. F. Quintin

Jean -François " J. F. " Quintin ( born May 28, 1969 in Saint -Jean -sur -Richelieu, Quebec ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player. During his career he played for the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League as well as the Star Bulls Rosenheim, mosquitoes Food and DEG Metro Stars in the German Ice Hockey League.

Career

Quintin played during his junior first time from 1986 to 1989 in Shawinigan Cataractes of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey in the League. After he had scored in his last season there in 69 games 152 points and was appointed to the Second All-Star team, the Minnesota North Stars selected him in the NHL Entry Draft in 1989 in the fourth round to 75th position. Then he moved to the IHL farm team of the North Stars to the Kalamazoo Wings. From there he was to the San Jose Sharks, who went to their first NHL season, delivered in the NHL Dispersal Draft 1991.

The French-Canadians played the entire season preparing for the 1991/92 season with the team and led the same to the preparation with four goals. However, after a serious knee injury he fell out until the end of the season and could only eight games in which he scored three goals, deny. He then became the Kansas City Blades, the Sharks farm team, ordered, there to support the team in the playoffs. With twelve points in 13 games he wore it a major contribution to winning the Turner Cup. In the 1992/93 season Quintin first returned to the Sharks and ran in 14 games in which he scored on seven points. There he played from 1999 to 2003 for the Star Bulls Rosenheim, mosquitoes Food and DEG Metro Stars in a total of 194 games.
