J. T. Brown (ice hockey)

Joshua Thomas " J. T. " Brown ( born July 2, 1990 in Burnsville, Minnesota ) is an American professional ice hockey player who is since March 2012 at the Tampa Bay Lightning in the National Hockey League under contract and in parallel for their AHL farm team Syracuse Crunch for use comes. His father Ted Brown was a professional American football player who played among others in the National Football League.

Career

JT Brown began his career as a hockey player with the Waterloo Black Hawks, for which he was active from 2008 to 2010 in the Junior League United States Hockey League. From 2010 to 2012, he attended the University of Minnesota Duluth, for their hockey team he played in parallel in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association. With his University team he won the 2011 NCAA Championship. He was elected the same year in the All- Rookie team of the WCHA. In 2012 he was honored with the election in the first All - Star team and the second WCHA All-American team in the NCAA. In March 2012, the winger signed a contract as a free agent with the Tampa Bay Lightning, for which he gave towards the end of the 2011/12 season his debut in the National Hockey League. In five games he prepared it before a goal.

At the beginning of the 2013/14 season to Brown could not prevail in the NHL squad and was used from September AHL farm team Syracuse Crunch, but returned in November of the same year returned to the NHL squad.
