Jacek Różycki

Jacek Hyacinthus Rozycki (also: Rositzky or Ruziski, * about 1630 or 1640 probably in Łęczyca; † around 1704) was a Polish composer.

About Różyckis life data, there is great uncertainty. He was probably a pupil of Bartholomew Pękiel, which he probably succeeded as head of the Royal Chapel in Warsaw. After the election of Augustus the Strong to the Polish king, he went to Dresden, where he led the Polish chapel next to Johann Christoph Schmidt.

He composed many hymns, fairs and concerts.
