Jack Daniels (coach)

Jack Tupper Daniels ( born April 26, 1933) is a former professor of sports and coaches for long-distance running at the State University of New York, Cortland. He received his doctorate from the University of Wisconsin -Madison in the Department of Exercise Physiology.

The Runner's World magazine called him "the best coach in the world ". Daniels explains his training principles in his 1998 bestseller Daniels ' Running Formula ( German: The duration formula ). He lives in Flagstaff, Arizona, where he freelanced as a consultant and trainer for some of America's most successful long distance runner.
