Jack Hofsiss

John B. "Jack" Hofsiss ( born September 28, 1950 in Brooklyn, New York City ) is an American film and theater director.

Life

John B. Hofsiss graduated in 1971 from Georgetown University. He debuted in 1979 with the play The Elephant Man on Broadway and won in the same year, as at that time the youngest ever Excellent, the Tony Award for Best Theatre Direction. For the same television movie The Hunt for the life he took over in 1982 also the director of the play.

Since an accident in 1985 in which he incurred a spinal cord injury while jumping into a pool, Hofsiss is confined to a wheelchair.
