Jackie Fairweather

Jackie Fairweather ( née Gallagher, born November 10, 1967) is a former Australian triathlete and marathon runner.

Sporting career

In 1992, she started with the triathlon. In 1996 she was in the same year triathlon and duathlon world champion, and in 1999 she won the Duathlon World Championship again.

In 2002 she was eleventh in the Boston Marathon and third in the marathon of the Commonwealth Games in Manchester. The following year she came to 15th place at the Chicago Marathon. In 2004 she finished ninth at the Nagoya Marathon and Twelfth London Marathon. 2005 was followed by a 14th place in Nagoya, a victory at the Gold Coast Marathon and a ninth place at the Tokyo International Women's Marathon. In the same year she began to run in ultra marathon. In 2009 she was Commonwealth champion in the 100 - km road race. In 2010 she won the Sydney Marathon.

Personal

Jackie Fairweather is married to Australian archer Simon Fairweather since 2004. In April 2012, it was recorded with Loretta Harrop and Emma Carney in the Australian Triathlon Hall of Fame.
