Jackie Lewis

Jack " Jackie " Lewis ( born 1 November 1936 in Stroud, England ) is a British former racing driver. In the years 1961 and 1962, he played a total of nine Formula 1 race.

Lewis' best and only Formula 1 result in the championship points was the fourth place in the Grand Prix of Italy in 1961, where he passed the finish line in just twelve seconds after Bruce McLaren, who drove in an identical car. For the following season in 1963, Lewis decided to take a year off from racing. However, he did not return to the cockpit and was a shepherd in his adopted home of Northern Ireland.
