Jacky Hénin

Jacky Henin ( born November 12, 1960 in Douai ) is a French journalist and politician Parti Communiste the (PCF ).

Life

Henin studied at the University of Lille I. From 2000 to 2008 he was a successor to Jean -Jacques Barthe mayor of the French town of Calais. In the mayoral election in 2008 he was defeated by Natacha Bouchart. Henin is since 2004 member of the European Parliament, where he is a member of the Confederal Group of the European United Left / Nordic Green Left. He is a member of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy and the Delegation for relations with the People's Republic of China. As a deputy, he is in the Committee on International Trade
