Jacob Erdman

Jacob Erdman ( born February 22, 1801 in Coopersburg, Pennsylvania, † July 20, 1867 ) was an American politician.

Erdman was employed only in agriculture, before he became a deputy in the 1834-1836 House of Representatives from Pennsylvania. In 1844 he was elected as a Democrat to Congress and represented the state of Pennsylvania March 4, 1845 to March 3, 1847 at the U.S. House of Representatives. On November 9, 1866 Erdman was elected judge of the Lehigh County Court and remained until his death in office. He was buried at Blue Church Cemetery near Coopersburg.

Jacob Erdman was the grandfather of Constantine Jacob Erdman.
