Jacques Charles Brunet

Jacques Charles Brunet ( born November 2, 1780 in Paris, † November 14, 1867 ) was a French bibliographer and bookseller.

Brunet was the son of a bookseller and came early in contact with books and bibliographic work. His first work in the description of books began by producing auction catalogs. The fame of his name is connected to the Manuel du libraire et de l' amateur des livres, which he published first in 1810 in three volumes, and through several editions.
