Jacques François

Henri Jacques Daniel Paul François ( born May 16, 1920 in Paris, † November 25, 2003 ibid ) was a French stage and film actor.

Life

After his time in the Navy and the participation in the Second World War, for which he also received the Croix de guerre 1939-1945, François has been active since the 1940s in the acting profession. After an attempt is broached, as his father to become a lawyer, he took the Cours Simon. His restrained and cultured acting appearance was used in numerous films in supporting roles as a businessman, elected officials or a lawyer.

His memoirs, published in 1992 bear the title Rappels.

François was a knight of the Legion of Honour and recipient of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.
