Jagiełło Oak

The Jagiello Oak [ jag - ɛwwɔ ʲ ] was the most famous of the oak trees of Bialowieza National Park in Poland.

The location of this Oak is located in Sector 398 of the National Parks. Under her Wladyslaw Jagiello should be switched before the hunt, which had been organized before the Battle of Grunwald. In fact, the tree is not more than 450 years old. The trunk circumference is equal to 130 cm above the base 550 cm, the height of the tree 39 m. For a growing in the Bialowieza Forest Oak, she had large branches and a fairly large crown. The tree was toppled by a storm in 1974. Today you can visit the remains of the tree in the Białowieża National Park.
