Jaguar (Band)

Jaguar is a British new-wave -of- British -Heavy- Metal band from Bristol, founded in 1979, disbanded in 1985 and was reunited in 1998.

History

The band was formed in 1979 by lead singer Rob Reiss, guitarist Garry Pepperd, bassist Jeff Cox and drummer Chris Lovell. Following the publication of some demos, the band reached an agreement with Heavy Metal Records. The band was to listen to the compilation of the label, bearing the name Heavy Metal Heroes with the song Stormchild in September 1981. In November, followed by Backstreet Woman her first single. did November. In early 1982, met with Paul Merrell, a new singer for the band and a new contract with Neat Records was reached. The next single called Axe Crazy followed and Power Games in May 1983 their debut album.

The band signed a contract with Roadrunner Records after that and released the album This Time in 1984. The following year, it came to the dissolution of the band. In 1998, the band teamed up again. Pepperd and Cox were there still exists as founding members, as new members played singer Jamie Manton and bassist Nathan Cox in the band.
