Jaguarão is a facility located in the state of Rio Grande do Sul city in southern Brazil.

Geography and location

Jaguarão is located in the south of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, at the border between Brazil and Uruguay over the Uruguayan city of Rio Branco on the Rio Jaguarão / Río Yaguarón. The international bridge Puente Internacional Barón de Maua connects the two cities and each ending there highways BR -116 (Brazil) and Ruta 18 (Uruguay ). History

Jaguarãos was founded in 1832 and received city rights in 1855.

Policy
