Jaka Hvala

Jaka Hvala ( born July 15, 1993 Ponikve ) is a Slovenian ski jumper. His biggest success is the double victory ( individual and team competition ) at the Junior World Championships 2013 in Liberec.

Career

For the first time an international sensation aroused Hvala when he in Polish Szczyrk with the Slovenian team led by Peter Prevc ersprang the gold medal in the team competition at the European Youth Olympic Festival 2009. At the Junior World Championships in Hinterzarten 2010 he won with the Slovenian team the silver medal in the team competition.

On December 27, 2011, he could jump with second place for the first time on the podium at a Continental Cup in Engelberg, Switzerland. Less than a month later he was able erspringen in his World Cup debut as a 29 his first two World Cup points on 20 January 2012 at Zakopane same. At the Junior World Championship on the Kiremitliktepe Turkish Erzurum he won in February 2012 behind compatriot Nejc Dežman the silver medal in the individual competition. On March 4, 2012, he jumped at the Finnish Lahti ninth for the first time in the top ten of a World Cup competition.

In the Slovenian championships on the normal hill on October 6, 2012 in Kranj Hvala jumped in second for the first time on the podium of the national championships. Eight days later he was able to repeat this result to the newly built large hill in Planica. On November 30, 2012, he jumped at the first team competition of the 2012/13 in Kuusamo with the Slovenian team to third place and reached his first World Cup podium.
