Jakob Anderegg

Jakob Anderegg ( born March 11, 1829 in Oberwil, † September 17, 1878 in Meiringen ) was a Swiss mountain guide and as his cousin Melchior, who was also known as "King of the leaders ," First Steiger some western mountain peaks. The customers of Andereggs included prominent mountaineers and members of the English Alpine Club, as Leslie Stephen, Horace Walker and Lucy Walker.

Jakob Anderegg was first ascents in the following case:

  • Balmhorn, 3699 m (Bernese Alps), July 21, 1864, Frank, Lucy and Horace Walker and Melchior Anderegg
  • Piz Roseg ( Grison Alps ) with AW Moore and Horace Walker on June 28, 1865
  • Obergabelhorn ( Valais Alps ) and AW Moore and Horace Walker on July 6, 1865
  • Pigne d' Arolla ( Valais Alps ) with AW Moore and Melchior Anderegg on July 9, 1865
  • Brenvasporn ( Mont Blanc) with George Spencer Mathews, AW Moore, Frank and Horace Walker on July 15, 1865
