Jakob Twinger von Königshofen

Jacob Twinger of Königshofen ( * 1346 in Strasbourg, † December 27, 1420 in Königshofen in Strasbourg ) was a German historian.

Life and work

Jacob Twinger of Königshofen entered into holy orders, and was ordained a priest in 1382. In 1384 he became pastor in 1395 Druze home and canon of Thomas pin in Strasbourg.

First, he wrote a chronicle in Latin, which was never printed, then in German language, then treated in three chapters of world history in two the Strasbourg Church of Alsace and Strasbourg, a city for the period 1382-1414 is of original contemporary value.
