Jamal Nebez

Cemal Nebez ( born December 1, 1933, Sulaymaniyah, Iraq) is a Kurdish linguist.

Life

He completed his education from in Sulaymaniyah and then went in the 1950s to Baghdad to where physics and mathematics to study to become a teacher. From 1955 to 1961 Nebez was physics and mathematics teacher. Three years of which he taught in Hewler and Kirkuk and three years in Basra and Baghdad. 1956 Nebez traveled to Syria and Lebanon, where he met many Kurdish intellectuals. On his trip to Iran in 1957, he met in Kermanshah Kurdish writer Fath - Ali Haidari Zebajoui and in Sanandaj know the cleric and writer Ayatollah Mohammed Mardokh -i Kurdistani ( 1885-1975 ). In 1962 he went to Europe for his studies in pedagogy, Iranologie and Islamic Studies continue. From 1963-1966, he attended the University of Munich and Würzburg, and from 1967-1970, the University of Hamburg. He also studied political science, journalism and law at the Free University of Berlin from 1970 to 1977. In 1965 he founded with Brusk Ibrahim and Latif Ali in Munich NUKSE ( National Union of the Kurdish Students in Europe). In 1985 he founded with many other Kurdish academics, scientists, writers and artists in Stockholm Kurdish Academy of Sciences and Arts.

Works

Nebez wrote many articles about the Kurdish issue in Arab newspapers from Baghdad. An article from 1954, which was published in the newspaper " Sawt al - Ahali " ( Voice of the People ), grappled with the remarks of the former Turkish President Celal Bayar. On a trip to the USA Bayar said, namely, that there were no other people except the Turks in Turkey. During his time teacher in Kirkuk, he wrote the basis for the first Kurdish physics and math book. In 1960 there appeared under the title " Introduction to Mechanics and properties of matter " with an extensive glossary of Kurdish physics terms. He also wrote many books on Kurdish language, which he entered that all Kurds should use the Latin script.
